Building Generational Wealth Through Culinary Innovation

Sisterhood Kitchen Collective was born out of a shared vision to transform the food industry by empowering BIPOC women entrepreneurs. Founded by Andrea Wade, Lee Hedgmon, and Leslee Dixon, the collective is rooted in lived experience and professional expertise. Each founder brings a unique perspective, from Andrea’s journey growing Honeybee Lemonade Syrups into a retail success to Lee’s mastery of food science and craft production, and Leslee’s track record of scaling multi-million-dollar food businesses. Together, they’ve created a space where culinary traditions are celebrated, and entrepreneurs can grow without the need to code-switch or explain their cultural practices.

Our story is one of resilience and innovation. In a city where systemic barriers often limit opportunities for BIPOC entrepreneurs, we’ve built a community that fosters collaboration over competition. By centering the voices and experiences of women of color, we’re not just creating businesses—we’re building pathways to generational wealth and economic empowerment. Every member who walks through our doors becomes part of a movement to create a more equitable food system, one that values diversity and uplifts the culinary traditions of underrepresented communities.
